WATER BAPTISMS
Baptism is a public celebration of moving from death to life through faith in Jesus Christ. In itself, baptism does not make us a believer in Christ, but is a way of saying to the world that our relationship with Jesus, and our faith in Him, has begun. Baptism symbolises that our old self is gone (going under the water) and our new self has come (coming above the water) and that we have been made alive in Christ; alive to a life that can be lived for the glory of God.
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
Before Jesus returned to heaven, He told His disciples that they would be “clothed in power” (Luke 24:49) so that they could accomplish all that He had commissioned them (and us) to do. He instructed them to wait until they were “clothed”with the supernatural power of God by the Holy Spirit. God wants to fill and empower us with His Spirit so that His power can flow through us and we can be victorious over sin, our flesh and the devil. Acts 1:8 tells us that we will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. We get to choose how much freedom we give the Holy Spirit to flow through us, and how intimately we want to be connected to Him. He longs for us to be in close relationship with Him, but He will never force Himself on us. He invites us to yield ourself to Him. Classes
Class 1: DNA
In Class 1, you will learn the heartbeat and vision of Citipointe, learn how to grow spiritually, and not just be a disciple of Christ, but go and make disciples. DNA is an incredible avenue to connect to God and His church, find purpose in serving, and be empowered to follow Jesus and influence your world for good and for God.
Class 2: Foundations Of Faith
In Class 2, we establish the foundation for a solid belief structure. Topics include being born again, the power of God’s word, loving one another, forgiveness, baptisms, faith, healing and generosity.
Class 3: Holy Spirit Baptism
In Class 3 we learn who the Holy Spirit is + what His role is in the life of every Believer. We learn why the baptism in the Holy Spirit is vitally important, how we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, and what it looks like when the Holy Spirit moves in and through us.
Class 4: Warfare and Deliverance
Class 4 is designed to teach you how to engage in spiritual warfare with the knowledge and practical application of God’s Word so that you are able to fight the kingdom of darkness effectively through the authority Jesus has given you.
