It's Not Ok Projects

Fighting Injustice. Alleviating Poverty. Restoring Lives. To be free from exploitation in all its forms is a fundamental human right. It’s Not Ok Projects stand up against the injustices of poverty, sexual exploitation and human trafficking by restoring the lives of those affected, and by replacing vulnerabilities with opportunities for hope. Our projects exist to restore, educate, equip, and provide hope to the oppressed, the vulnerable, the impoverished, and the at-risk. It’s Not Ok Projects includes the She Rescue Home and Sewing Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Community Care

Love motivates us to act. Outside our walls are hurting, troubled communities that desperately need the compassion and love of Christ. We follow in the example and words of Jesus when it comes to being an influence in the community in which we are planted. Our mandate is simple and based in Proverbs and Isaiah… Proverbs 31: “Open your mouth for those unable to speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are left desolate and defenseless. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and administer justice for the poor and needy.” Isaiah 61: “… They will rebuild the ancient ruins
 and restore the places long devastated;
 they will renew the ruined cities
 that have been devastated for generations.” There has never been a better time for the Church to bring hope and help to those that live in our neighbourhoods. Our example is Jesus – who was, is and will always be about having eyes for the one.

Love My City

Love My City is our church’s annual summer outreach, created to tangibly serve and uplift our local community through acts of love and service. With over 400 volunteers projected to complete 100 service jobs and log 1,600+ hours, this movement is all about meeting practical needs—from yard work and home repairs to meals, hygiene care, worship, and prayer. Whether it’s through cleaning, vehicle maintenance, haircutting, or simply showing up to pray and serve, Love My City is our united response to being the hands and feet of Jesus in our city.
